Oxley High School is situated in North Tamworth, Tamworth, New South Wales, Australia. It has approximately 1200 students. The school has four sport houses - Namoi (green), Castleraegh (blue), Macquarie (red) and Hastings (yellow). Oxley has 70 full time teachers, and approximately 12 casual teachers at any one time. In 2006, the boys' state knockout hockey team, the girls' state knockout hockey team, and the girls' state knockout cricket team were state champions. In 2008 a syndicate from Oxley won round 2 of the Australian Stock Exchange Sharemarket Game. In 2007 Oxley won the Law Society's State Mock Trial competition, becoming the first country school to do so. Recently the boys' state knockout Cricket team repeated the feat of the girls' team of 2006 by becoming State Champions, defeating Endeavour Sports High School in the final.
